I'm a lawyer, a mum of five, and the founder of Family First Estate Planning. I live and work from our family farm in Northern New South Wales, where I create highly strategic estate plans for families all over Australia, sorted without the overwhelm.
I was admitted as a lawyer in 2014, and every year since has been spent solely working across estate planning and family law. The two areas belong together more than most people realise. Family law shows me exactly what happens to wealth when relationships break down, and estate planning lets me build the structures that protect it. Seeing both sides is what makes my estate plans so strategic: designed for real family life, blended families, second marriages, inheritances worth protecting, and children whose futures deserve careful thought.
Before my admission, I worked for years as a paralegal in a multidisciplinary firm offering legal, financial and taxation advice. That early exposure gave me a deep understanding of how legal, financial and personal considerations intersect, especially when it comes to protecting families, children and legacies.
Family First Estate Planning has been running since 2022, built on everything those years taught me and it has truly been a privilege to help as many families as I have.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist (in the best way) and am always learning, refining and upskilling and absolutely adore being of service to families wishing to create true generational legacies.
Chandla brings close to a decade of experience across estate planning, estate administration, family law and asset protection, including time running her own practice as Principal Solicitor. She has guided families through Wills and estates, probate, property settlements and business structures, and she has stood beside executors and beneficiaries in contested estates in the District and Supreme Courts.
That last part matters more than people realise. Chandla has seen exactly what happens when estate plans are unclear, outdated or contested, and it shapes the way she prepares every single document: carefully, precisely, and with your family's real life in mind.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, completed the College of Law's Legal Practice Management Course, and was admitted as a lawyer in 2017. Beyond the qualifications, though, she is a mum of two and deeply aligns with the way we believe legal advice should feel. Human first. Clear. Thoughtful. Protective.
From the moment she joined us, Chandla has brought warmth, intelligence and calm guidance to our families, and the feedback has been genuinely beautiful. We are so lucky to have her.
